 Conventional & Biorational Specialist H/F

 Mission: 

This role aims to increase the Conventional & Sustainable Solution Business Unit (CSBU & SSBU) sales in the region. The Conventional & Biorational Specialist will conduct technical-sales support and demand creation activities on targeted farmers, dealers, and influential individuals (Consultants, Advisors). The Conventional & Biorational Specialist is part of the commercial team and will perform the following:
  • Execute key initiatives for the region assigned by the Commercial Leads and support the local sales teams
  • Provide support to the Marketing and Development Leads by providing market information from the field, including competitive landscape, and support the technical team with farmer and advisor contacts for launch and pre-launch activities

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Work with Commercial Leads to create and execute conventional & sustainable solution sales growth action plans to include situation, objective, and tactics designed to deliver planned sales growth for Conventional & Biorational Brands.
  • Provide technical support for key projects or products (both online and in the field).
  • Identify stakeholders (influencers, key growers) and establish relationships.
  • Carry out demand creation activities (farmer and retailer meetings, on-farm support, technical support, etc.) directed by the supervisor in collaboration with other stakeholders.
  • Evaluate market and industry trends, competitors, sales programs, and territory coverage.
  • Provide feedback from the field for the need for new products or improvements to existing products.
  • Identify and collect new opportunities (new uses, unmet needs).
Required skills and profile:
 Knowledge:
  • Degree in Agriculture or a related field such as Soil Biology, Mycology, Microbiology, Plant Pathology, Agronomy, Horticulture.
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of the Crop Protection industry, including Conventionals, Biorationals, Biostimulants, and Plant Growth Regulators and a good understanding of plant physiology, crop production, crop protection, and soil health is a plus.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, technical sales or marketing and development.
  • Experience in selling Crop Protection products including Conventionals, Biorationals, Biostimulants etc.
  • Demonstrated commercial skills and understanding of strategic marketing principles
  • Experience in technical selling skills using plots, data, and proof materials to close sales at the grower level.
Skills:
  • Good planning and organization skills
  • Ability to build relationships, communicate with growers, retailers
  • Ability to solve problems and work independently
  • Good communication with HQ and team player attitude
  • Proven sales track record of creating demand through non-price value creation
Language skills:
  • Fluent in German and English

Business trips in Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, depending on the season, and meetings in France
