EMEA Strategy & Portfolio Manager

As part of significant investments in R&D, Sumitomo Chemical wants to strengthen its efficiency and responsiveness in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. The Portfolio Department is looking for a candidate for the following position:EMEA Strategy & Portfolio Manager
Within the Portfolio department for the Europe Middle East Africa region, you will support the marketing and sales teams in the marketing of our innovations and existing products for the conventional segment. Based on market data and contacts with our teams and customers, you will analyze marketing, technical, commercial and regulatory data to establish the marketing mix of our existing and future products. Reporting to the Marketing Europe Africa Middle East team, your main missions are:- Create, develop and update the active ingredient and product strategies
- Drive the product life cycle management
- Build the forecast figures
- Analyze the adequacy between the positioning of our products and the farmers' expectations
- Ensure the marketing and commercial positioning of our products in a competitive environment
- Lead the marketing of our products through analysis and strategic, tactical and operational proposals
- The Portfolio, Regulatory and Sales teams
- Sumitomo organizations in France, UK, Spain, Italy, South Africa
- Sumitomo Chemical in Japan
- on a more occasional basis with other departments of the company or other global regions.
Required skills and profile
Knowledge: Graduate with a master’s degree in agronomy
Expertise in marketing of plant protection products in EU
Experience: 3-5 years in marketing position in agrochemical industry
Skills:
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
Strong planning and organization skills
Negociation skill
Autonomy, Initiative
Language: Fluent English (written and oral as working language)
IT Tools: Microsoft 365 mandatory and Project Management tools valued.
Additional information
Location: Europe - home office based
Desired start: as soon as possible
Contract: permanent contract
