St-Didier-au-Mont-d’Or (France), December 20, 2023 – Sumitomo Chemical Agro Europe, a subsidiary of the Japanese Sumitomo Chemical company, expert in crop protection for 60 years, nominates Alberto Ancora, as General Manager, effective December 1, 2023. He succeeds Shinichiro Imai who will continue to operate within the company as Deputy General Manager.
Alberto Ancora was formerly Vice President of BASF Agricultural Solutions in the EMEA/South Region. His extensive background and proven expertise of 30 years in crop sciences will make him a great asset to take on the leadership of the company and further improve our strategic path towards innovation, sustainability, and excellence.
