In a complex and continuously evolving regional environment, The Regulatory Affairs Manager ensures that Sumitomo Chemical Agro Europe obtain and maintain in a timely manner approval of active substances and authorizations of plant protection products or related products within the assigned geographical area Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in coordination with the headquarters, the affiliates and distributors.Typical activities will include:
- Define and implement for the active substances and related products under your responsibility the registration strategy in Europe, Middle East and Africa in coordination with the Project Team (Marketing and Development).
- Manage the dossiers and follow up on studies in coordination with the headquarters, the consultants and the Contract Research Organizations (if any) in order to ensure timely submissions and the approval/authorization are gained on time.
- Monitor and follow up registrations progress in coordination with the Affiliates and the countries, fill the registration and project management data bases and Monthly reports.
Required skills and profile
Knowledge:- Master of Science in agronomy, biology or related matters minimum
- Minimum 5 years of experience with legislative and regulatory processes related to plant protection products at European/country level is a must.
- Experience in Risk Assessments is a plus.
- Able to work independently, to self-start and interact well with people from other department to achieve regional business objectives and to comply with internal policies as well as international regulations.
- Good written and oral skills in English (working language) Any other language is welcome. French is not mandatory.
- Workable knowledge of Microsoft Office.
