EMEA INSECTICIDES PROJECT LEADER (M/F)

Sumitomo Chemical is a leading international research and development company commercializing innovative crop protection products both for conventional and organic farming. In the frame of significant investments in R&D, Sumitomo chemical wishes to strengthen its efficiency and reactivity in the region of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In this environment, a new position is open in our EMEA headquarter based in Saint Didier au Mont d’Or (69) – France for: EMEA INSECTICIDES PROJECT LEADER (M/F)

 Job description

In close contact with the EMEA organization, you will be responsible for the evaluation, the regulatory dossier and the positioning of the current and future portfolio. You will also ensure the transmission of the product know-how to the affiliates and the partners through product’s training and support for their demo trials protocols.

Your main tasks will be:

• Plan the evaluation trials including programs and protocols
• Coordinate the relevant information for the registration dossiers
• Contribute to the definitions of our product strategies
• Ensure marketing and sales positioning of our products in a competitive environment
• Transfer the product know-how to internal and external customers
• Manage a team

You will benefit from a large autonomy to bring forward your proposals and secure your creativity to complete those tasks.

You will principally work in relation with:

• The head of marketing and development and his team members
• The head of sales management and his team members
• The subsidiaries of Sumitomo Chemical in France, UK, Spain, Italy and South Africa

Required skills and profile 

Knowledge:

• Graduate with a master’s degree in agronomy
• Expertise in field experimentation and related data management, regulatory environment and good expertise in the insecticide area (conventional and biorational products)

Experience:   

• 5-10 years in technical / development positions in the agronomical research area or agrochemical industry with
• strong  background in the insecticide area

Skills:   

• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
• Good planning and organization skills
• Ability to convince colleagues, customers, officials based on technical expertise

Language:

• Good written and oral skills in English (working language)

IT Tools:

• Workable knowledge of Microsoft Office
